HOW TO USE
Steep the dried leaves (1tsp) or 3-6 pods in warm water for 10 15 min hot infusion
Steep in cold water for 6 8 hours cold infusion .
Powder (1/4tsp) as purgative
Tincture: take 2-4 ml of the tincture taken before bed
WARNINGS
Do not use for longer than 10 days. Always remember that constipation is the cause of something else and the this should be sought and dealt with.
Habitual use will cause lazy bowel syndrome.
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Overdose can lead to painful stomach cramps and diarrhea.
It can be corrected with 1/4 amount of a stomachic herb like ginger or fennel seeds with the dose.
May cause contact dermatitis.
Can cause nausea, vomiting, and may lead to inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.
