Description
To make Dalmore King Alexander III, Master Distiller Richard Paterson selected a range of differently aged malts matured in a mixture of French wine casks, Madeira drums, sherry butts, Marsala barrels, port pipes and bourbon barrels from Kentucky. A remarkable feat of blending.
Nose: Chocolate and nuts, both flesh and shells, toffee, touches of spiced raisin and vanilla.
Palate: Measured sugary sweetness to start, with orange and vanilla backed up by sweet raisins, raspberry and winey touches.
Finish: Spicy oak, polished wood and liquorice root.
