The Nairobi race weekends were one of the highlights of the East African social calendar in the so-called 'happy valley' era - circa 1922. Hermes has a bag very much like this one that they call The Kelly Bag- sighting Grace Kelly as their inspiration. Be that as it may, there's a picture of Lady De La Mare clutching one of these bags in the winners enclosure at Nairobi way back in 1922! In pre war Polo circles it was known as a Hurlingham bag. The bag dimensions are 51x20x30 cm, and it weighs 2.6 kg.

We make it in full leather or in a combination of leather and canvas. It is fully lined with various interior zip pockets plus has an exterior zip pocket for quick passport access, etc.
