Description
Bean There Burundi Kayanza 250g is a single-origin coffee that is the result of a direct fair trade partnership between Bean There and the Musema Cooperative in Burundi. The partnership, which started in 2011, has a big impact on the local community as it represents 1,500 supplier farmers. This coffee has a rich berry and chocolate flavor with a luxurious body, making it perfect for French Press or Aeropress brewing methods. It is sourced from the Kayanza region, specifically the town of Ngozi, and is made from Bourbon and Jackson Arabica varietals. The coffee is fully washed and has a sweet honey aroma with winey acidity. It is harvested from March to May and is grown at an altitude of 1700-1800 meters above sea level.
This delicious single-origin coffee is the result of a direct fair trade partnership between Bean There and the Musema Cooperative in Burundi. Bean There started purchasing coffee from them in 2011 and, since 2013, has committed to buying all of their crop! Representing 1,500 supplier farmers collectively, this relationship has a big impact on the local community.
The coffee itself is an absolute treat with its rich berry and chocolate flavours and luxurious body. We particularly love this coffee in a French Press or an Aeropress!
