Description
Setasilk is a water-based paint that is specifically designed for painting on silk. It is known for its vivid and intense colors and its ability to fuse onto silk. The paint can be mixed together and dries quickly when exposed to air. It can be used on all types of silk and can be thinned with Setasilk thinner. The colors are opaque and have a brilliant finish. To fix the paint, it needs to be ironed on the reverse side of the fabric for 3-4 minutes. After 48 hours, the colors are resistant to handwashing and dry cleaning. Setasilk is best used with soft and thin brushes, such as pure squirrel brushes or synthetic Aqua range brushes. Foam brushes are recommended for backgrounds and washes. The brushes can be cleaned with soapy water. Setasilk is suitable for all silk painting techniques and maintains the flexibility of the fabric while providing a rich and bright color palette.
