This is a product description for Schmincke Watercolour Ox Gall, a natural wetting agent for degreasing undercoats before painting with watercolours or gouache. Oxgall is also suitable as a levelling agent for watercolours. Dissolved oxgall has no influence on the application, but long storage can cause flocculation.
