The paint is pasty, allowing for both brush and knife painting. The paint contains the highest concentration of purest pigments, ensuring strong and brilliant colors. The colors in the Expert Series are exclusive to Talens, and have a maximum purity. Many of the colors are single-pigmented, which means that when mixed together they produce a "pure mix." The paint has a durable and flexible paint film, and has a uniform degree of sheen. The original color of the paint is maintained for at least 100 years under museum conditions. This is due to the highest degree of lightfastness of the colors.
