This is a ball burnisher that is designed for detailed work. It is made of high carbon tool steel and is manufactured by EC Lyons.
Burnishers are used to flatten a section of a metal plate in order
to remove engraved or etched patterns and lines. This 'erases' the
marks on this area. This ball-burnisher is designed to be used for
detailed work. If you wish to flatten an extensive area, you would
be better off using a straight burnisher.This tool is made of high
