Description
This is a description of a rotary burr tungsten 12x25x6mm conical straight. The tungsten carbide burr is used with pneumatic air tools and electric die grinders. The shape is conical straight, the Shank is Ø6mm, the Dia is *12mm, the Cutting Length is 25mm, and the Metal is Tungsten carbide. The Cut is Double Cut. The Application is for cleaning welding seams, deburring, grinding, shaping, and cutting harder materials. The benefits of tungsten carbide burrs are that they are much harder than HSS (High Speed Steel) burrs and are used to cut harder materials. The speed at which you use your tungsten carbide burr in your rotary tool will depend on the material youre using it on and the contour being drilled.

Rotary burr tungsten Rotary burr to be used with pneumatic air tools and electric die grinders. SHAPE: Conical straight
SHANK: Ø6mm
DIA: *12mm
CUTTING LENGTH: 25mm
METAL: Tungsten carbide
CUT: Double cut

Application:

A tungsten carbide burr can be used for:
  • Cleaning welding seams
  • Deburring
  • Grinding
  • Shaping
The speed at which you use your tungsten carbide burr in your rotary tool will depend on the material youre using it on and the contour being drilled. Its safe to say - do not need to exceed 35,000 rpm.

The benefits of tungsten carbide burrs:

Tungsten carbide burrs can be used on many materials:
  • All metals
  • Stone
  • Ceramic
  • Porcelain
  • Hard wood
  • Reinforced plastics
Tungsten carbide burrs are much harder than HSS (High Speed Steel) burrs and are used to cut harder materials. The burrs wear less and retain their hardness under higher temperatures. If the burrs are chipping, this could be due to the speed being too slow. It is ideal to start the burr off slow, increasing the speed as you go along. High speeds will prevent clogging in the flutes of your burrs. When using burrs, always try to keep the burr on the move. This will prevent the burr from jabbing and digging into your material causing roughness.
As with all drill bits and burrs, let the burr do the work and apply little pressure otherwise the cutting edges of the flutes will chip, reducing the life of the burr.
