Description
This is a description of a wood spade drill bit. The bit is 32mm in diameter and 150mm long. It has a 6.35mm hex shank for quick change. The bit is made from high carbon steel and is known as a "spade bit." The standard bit is equipped with spurs to cut cleaner and faster than a standard spade bit, but the pro series bit is also equipped with spurs to cut cleaner and faster.

Application:
A spade drill bit is used for rough boring in wood. Spade drill bits can be used to drill in:

Standard vs. Pro series:

TIP: To avoid splintering, drill the workpiece from both ends.
