- We also recommend you keep the packaging until you are satisfied that this product is operating correctly. Operation: Ensure the appliance is unplugged or switched off. Ensure all the appliance's parts are properly in place before the operation.
- Plug the appliance's cord into a suitable power outlet.
- Place ingredients in smoothie maker jug, ensuring there are no liquids leaking from the appliance.
- Select pulse speed for chopping ice.
- Place the lid onto the jug and insert the stopper or stir stick into the hole in the lid.
- Fit the jug base onto the motor unit.
- Lock the jug in place by turning clockwise.
- The silver indicators on the side of the unit will line up.
- Select the desired speed setting.
- Place a clean bowl underneath the spout, and then select the lowest speed setting.
- Lift the handle and juice will pour from the spout.
- Press spout handles down to stop the flow of liquid and switch the appliance off.
- Disconnect from the power source after the operation.
- Important: do not operate the appliance for longer than three consecutive minutes.
- A one-minute break is required between every three minutes of operation.
- Operate appliance on a solid, dry and steady surface.
- Dismantling the appliance: When dismantling the appliance, first remove the spout.
- Remove the jug from the motor base by turning the jug anti-clockwise.
- Remove the silicone seal.
- Re-assembling the appliance: After cleaning, put the silicone seal back onto the jug.
- Assemble the jug, big silicone seal and blade base by turning them clockwise into the jar base.
- Please note: the jug dripper should be fitted onto the motor base dripper.
- Screw the tap into the jugs base.
- Ensure the appliance body is completely dry before plugging the appliance into the mains outlet.
- Crushed ice: If you're making crushed ice for cocktails, make sure the smoothie maker is clean, and then rinse it out thoroughly.
- The slightest trace of detergent will flatten any drink to which it is added.
- Ice "cubes" come in many shapes and sizes.
- You'll have to experiment with the ice from your ice cube tray.
- Put half to three-quarters of a cup of ice into the smoothie maker, and add 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of fresh, cold water. Put the lid on the smoothie maker, then press and release 3 or 4 times.
- Check the results and adjust.
- Too much blending will reduce the ice to liquid, too little will merely chip the edges/corners of the ice.
- Don't try to crush ice without adding water to the jug.
- Don't be tempted simply to increase the amount of ice and blend for longer.
- Too much ice will never give you satisfactory results.
