Description
This is a Chinese painting paper made from mulberry bark. It is a good quality paper suitable for brush writing, Chinese painting, or calligraphy. The paper is more absorbent on one side and less absorbent on the other. It is a warm off white color and has lengthwise running chain lines from the screen. You cannot feel them. The product consists of 8 separate sheets of rice paper rolled around a cardboard tube for storage.
This fine Chinese Paper is suitable for brush writing, Chinese
painting or calligraphy. It is made from mulberry bark in China
using a centuries-old manufacturing process, and provides excellent
quality at an affordable price for beginners and intermediates. The
paper feels somewhere between crisp and soft. It is more absorbent,
rough and matt on one side and less absorbent, smoother and shinier
on the other. It is a warm off white colour. The paper has
lengthwise running chain lines (similar to laid lines) from the
screen, but they are only visible as stripes of increased
transparency; they are not raised, and you cannot feel them. This
product consists of 8 separate sheets of rice paper rolled around a
cardboard tube for storage. Each sheet measures 300mm x 1.37m. The
weight of the paper is 30g per square metre.
