The Pitt Charcoal Pencil is a soft lead pencil that offers a deep black stroke due to the compressed charcoal lead. The pencil is also offered in three grades of hardness, soft, medium, and hard, to accommodate different levels of writing pressure. The pencil is kept clean by the wood casing, which prevents hands from becoming dirty while working.
