Mount Vision soft pastels are hand made by Karl Kelly, former
principal paint maker at Williamsburg Handmade Oils, using the
finest traditional and synthetic pigments. These are combined with
a base of chalk, talc and clay to produce a pastel with a wonderful
buttery feel, yet durable and strong. Each pastel composed of a
precise ratio of colour to binder that is designed to show the
pigment at its finest. As Karl Kelly says: 'My experience as a
