The Faber-Castell Pitt Charcoal Pencil is a charcoal pencil that is offered in three grades of hardness. The soft grade of the pencil offers the deepest possible black stroke, while the medium grade of the pencil offers a slightly less deep black stroke, and the hard grade of the pencil offers the deepest possible black stroke. The pencil is also offered in a compressed form, which offers the deepest possible black stroke, and a wood casing, which keeps hands clean while working.
