This is a description of a product called Movicol and Norgine, which are both registered trademarks of Movicol. Movicol is a powder that is meant to be used to treat chronic constipation. Each sachet of Movicol contains 3350mg of powder macrogol (PEG), 350.7mg of sodium chloride, 178.5mg of sodium bicarbonate, 46.6mg of potassium chloride, and acesulfame K (E950) as well as lemon and lime flavoring. When reconstituted in water, each sachet provides 65mmol/l of sodium, 53mmol/l of chloride, 17mmol/l of bicarbonate, and 5.4mmol/l of potassium.
Each 13.8g sachet contains: Powder macrogol (PEG) 3350 - 13.125g. Sodium chloride - 350.7mg. Sodium bicarbonate - 178.5mg. Potassium chloride - 46.6mg. On reconstitution in 125ml of water, each sachet provides: Sodium - 65mmol/l. Chloride - 53mmol/l. Bicarbonate - 17mmol/l. Potassium - 5.4mmol/l.
