This battery is designed for backup/marine use only and is not meant for daily solar off-grid charging/discharging. It has antimony-free plates that reduce electrolyte loss from gassing, and a liquid-gas separator that keeps the electrolyte inside. There are no filler caps, so there is no electrolyte contamination, overwatering, or damage in use. The battery also has a wrought lead-calcium grid design that means less internal corrosion and efficient current conductivity. The battery has a generous electrolyte reserve, factory-checked for purity and specific gravity, and is sealed in for the service life of the battery.
