Use and care of Blue Steel
When used for the first time, the blue steel pan should be washed with
hot water and liquid soap, rinsed and dried properly. Heat the pan and
once it is hot, put a little oil or fat together with onions, bread and
vegetable peels into it for a few minutes. Throw these ingredients away
and wash the pan in hot water and dry. If you do not use it immediately,
lightly oil the cooking surface and store it away.
