Great choice! The Garmin eTrex 22X for R3589 would be an excellent GPS for your needs. As we discussed earlier, it has topo maps and geocaching capabilities just like the eTrex 30. Its small size makes it highly portable for hiking or hunting trips. The extra features of the 32X like better sunlight readability and battery life aren't necessarily needed for casual use.
